In its thirteenth season in 2015, Russ & Marie's Marconi Beach BBQ & Seafood Restaurant is the Outer Cape's only authentic southern pit-style smoked barbecue. Others may slap on sauce and call it BBQ, but this is the real, slow-smoked, tender-like-butter deal. Their pork ribs are smoked for hours, using assorted woods such as apple, hickory, pear and cherry... resulting in meat even the most die hard southern barbecue fan would be proud of. Devotees love the selection of pork ribs, pulled pork, pulled beef brisket, and pulled chicken. The menu at this relaxed, table service restaurant is not one-dimensional, however. It also features regional favorites, such as lobsters and clam bakes, succulent prime rib and steaks, fish and chips, steamers, and other baked and broiled seafood options and pasta dishes. But it's the barbeque that people come for, with owner Russ Swart's smoker infusing the air along Route 6 with a delicious aroma. If you're looking for a meal on the run, the delicious BBQ and homemade fried chicken are always available for take out. There is also a full bar serving your favorite cocktails, beer and wine.
